Our Story
The story of 1st Choice Pallets began long before the company had a name. As a teenager, our founder spent his weekends helping his father stack pallets at a repair yard. Those early mornings, dusty work boots, and the pride his father took in an honest day’s labor planted the seed for something bigger. It became a dream to build a business rooted in family, hard work, and opportunity
Years later, that dream took its first step when he purchased a small pallet yard from an older gentleman preparing to retire. With only a small truck, a worn forklift, hand tools, and determination, the work began. Pallets were repaired by hand, trucks were loaded manually, and every challenge was met head-on. Despite equipment failures, a yard fire, and financial strain, the business was eventually lost. Even then, he refused to let go of the vision that started it all.
With limited resources, he shifted direction and spent nearly nine years doing freight work and pallet brokering, which together became his primary source of income. Long days, overnight runs, and even sleeping in the truck were sometimes necessary to keep his word to customers. Through it all, he kept moving forward, supported by his wife and a loyal customer who continued doing business with him from the beginning.
In 2019, everything changed. With enough saved to start again, he opened a new pallet yard and officially launched 1st Choice Pallets, a name originally registered back in 2005 and finally brought to life. Since then, the company has grown with more equipment, more space, more helping hands, and customers who value honest work, reliable service, and genuine care.
